ICS – International Community School

International Community School is a Christian, non-profit international school founded in 1993 that is located in the Bangna area of Bangkok. Since its establishment, ICS has maintained a tradition of quality education. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), we offer an American system of education for age 4 through grade 12.

The ICS student body is comprised of 1115 students from 29 different countries.  The cultural diversity of our student body contributes to the quality of education enjoyed by our students. ICS utilizes an American curriculum with AP (Advanced Placement) courses in the high school. They offer 23 AP courses, the most AP courses of any school in Thailand.

ICS maintains a tradition of quality education, and ICS students have achieved the highest reported SAT average of international schools in Bangkok for the last several years. Its academic rigor and tireless support of students have empowered ICS students to receive acceptance into top universities around the world with the Class of 2022 earning over 1.4 million USD in scholarships.

Our Vision for Students.

The strength of our school lies in our qualified staff and our commitment to students. The majority of our teachers are recruited from the United States and Canada. Students, families and faculty find ICS to be a caring community where community participation is encouraged. At our school, students are equipped within the classroom to function beyond the classroom. We encourage our students to respect our core values and identify with our learning concepts:

  • To become Lifelong learners
  • Discerning Thinkers
  • Competent Communicators
  • Quality Producers
  • Team Players
  • Responsible Citizens
  • Followers of Christ

Extra Curricular Activities

In addition to a large AP academic program, ICS offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities including athletics (soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country, track, badminton, swim team), art, theater, band, orchestra, and various other enrichment activities. ICS is known for the close-knit community fostered among the faculty, students, and parents. This comes from a relentless focus on care and individual attention to help each child thrive inside and outside of the classroom.

Facility Improvements

As a non-profit school, ICS works hard on continually improving our school facilities. Recently, our cafeteria has been remodeled, improving lighting and acoustics. ICS continually updates classrooms, and we have added another multipurpose area in the athletic facility. Last year we completed our new admissions center and we look forward to welcoming you!
