The Lion Inside is Coming to Bangkok!

Curtain Up Studios - The Lion Inside

Mark your calendars for something extra special is coming to Bangkok this November!

Following on from the success of The Tiger Who Came to Tea last year, The Bangkok Theatre Project is back with another unforgettable musical experience for the whole family! Bringing yet another beloved children’s book to life on stage. ‘The Lion Inside’ will hit Bangkok from Thursday, November 20, to Sunday, November 23, 2025 at the M Theatre on Phetchaburi New Road.

Based on the delightful childrens novel by Rachel Bright & Jim Field and adapted & directed by Sarah Punshon, with music & lyrics by Eamonn O’Dwyer. The Lion Inside is a heart-warming tale about confidence, self-esteem. It follows the journey of a shy little mouse who sets out to find his roar. In a dry dusty place where the sand sparkled gold, stood a mighty flat rock, all craggy and old. And under that rock in a tiny house, lived the littlest, quietest, meekest brown mouse. Fed up of being ignored and forgotten by the other animals, Mouse wishes he could roar like Lion. But, as he discovers, even the biggest, bossiest people are scared sometimes … and even the smallest creatures can have the heart of a lion!

Boy acing on stage

For the first time ever, “The Lion Inside” is set to enchant audiences in Thailand. Brought to Bangkok by the Bangkok Theatre Project and Curtain Up Studios, this marks a significant milestone as the musical debuts in Southeast Asia. The arrival of another celebrated production in Bangkok highlights the growing appreciation for high-quality children’s theatre in the region. The musical’s popularity and its heartwarming story are anticipated to resonate deeply with Thai audiences, ensuring a memorable and magical experience for all children to find their own Lion Inside!
