St. Andrews Sukhumvit 107 & STEPS Alternative Pathways Event

This year one of Bangkok’s most prestigious international schools embarked on a partnership with STEPS to create an inclusive campus model never before seen in Thailand. St Andrews Sukhumvit 107 (S107) opened a STEPS vocational training centre and cafe onsite where neurodivergent students (for example those with autism) can access alternative education to suit their needs.

The partnership with St Andrews Sukhumvit 107 represents the first time the complete Steps model has been incorporated into a wider academic environment. Both organisations have high hopes that integrating the two will create a community of acceptance which will stay with all students long after they leave the school.

Due to the overwhelming requests for more information about this unique programme St. Andrews Sukhumvit 107 and STEPS Bangkok are now collaborating to create an event where parents can learn more about opportunities for students to follow an inclusive new school model which brings together traditional education and alternative pathways.

Many parents may feel that after finding initial learning support for their smaller children what comes next? How can they help them to develop life skills, help them transition into further education or employment? And ultimately who do they turn to for support and guidance.

Dual Learners will learn in both S107 classes and the onsite Steps Vocational Training Centre. As well as the vocational centre, Steps has a campus cafe where trainees on the Dual Learner programme can gain hands-on work experience.

Learners will also have the opportunity to join mainstream classes, iGCSE, BTEC, and IB classes where appropriate.
