Bangkok Places: 5 Things to Do in Sukhumvit 26

In the heart of Sukhumvit, soi 26 is a bustling tree-lined street with lots of lifestyle offerings. Here are 5 great activities for kids in the area.

1. Hone golf skills at Xcite Golf

Asia’s leading indoor golf academy with experienced PGA instructors, Xcite Golf offers programs for children ages 3.5 to 18, which are geared to increase their mastery of golf, build confidence, improve focus and hand-eye coordination, and foster teamwork. Kids at all levels can join after school classes, while the Elite Junior Development program helps take skilled juniors all the way to the university level. In addition, fun junior camps are held during the weekends and school holidays.

2. Ride the waves at Flow House

Flow House Bangkok brings the exhilarating sport of flowboarding, a combination of surfing, body boarding and other board-based sports, to city dwellers. It’s suitable for kids ages 5 and up, at all skill levels. Admission to Flow House includes instruction and assistance by friendly, qualified flowboard pros. Other facilities include a plunge pool, which is great for toddlers; locker rooms with showers; and an on-site restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating.

3. Learn a language at Nancy Language Club

It’s never too early to learn a new language!  And Nancy Language Club offers English, Mandarin and Thai to children from 6 months to 12 years old. All classes are led by experienced native language teachers, and lessons and activities are designed to suit students’ ages in an interactive learning environment. Experience a free trial of the trilingual playgroup for 1 to 3 year olds, or an English, Mandarin or Chinese class for children ages 3 and up.

4. Create, play and learn at Bricks 4 Kidz

Who doesn’t love creating stuff with Lego bricks? At Bricks 4 Kidz, a children’s edutainment program from the US and Canada, classes provide an atmosphere for children, from babies to pre-teens, to learn, build and play exclusively with Lego. Programs are designed with STEM education as the core and are built around proprietary model plans, with exciting themes such as space, construction and amusement parks.

5. Expend some energy at Funarium

An huge indoor play centre sectioned into four zones, Funarium is a great place for active play. Toddlers can crawl or walk on a soft padded surface, and enjoy playing with a small slider and ball pool. Older children have a 2-storey play structure ideal for climbing, jumping, crawling and balancing, plus a ball-blower machine, trampoline and a large, 4-lane slider. The facility also includes a bicycle rink and basketball/football court, as well as a large crafts room and on-site café.
