A long 0.3-square kilometre stretch of greenery along Paholyothin Road, Chatuchak Park is a welcome retreat from mayhem of the Chatuchak Weekend Market across the street. Situated on land donated by the State Railway of Thailand, Chatuchak Park is part of a 3-park complex in the area; it is separated by Rot Fai and Queen Sirikit Parks by Kampaengphet 3 Road. The park provides many recreational and fitness facilities, including tennis courts, football fields, and jogging/biking tracks. The park also features an artificial lake, sculptures, and various themed gardens.
Chatuchak Park is a great place to spend a day with the kids. They will enjoy feeding the fish from atop the many bridges spanning the lake, as well as visiting the aromatic Herb Garden. A large grassy playground offers a variety of equipment, and the Youth Traffic Garden provides a cycling track with traffic signs. Paddleboats and bikes are both available for hire. Shady enclaves are ideal for picnics or rest.
