Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok Verified listing

Founded in 1896 in Buckinghamshire, England, Wycombe Abbey is one of the United Kingdom's most prestigious academic institutions, renowned for combining rigorous British curricula with a holistic approach to pupil development. With a proven international network spanning Hong Kong, Changzhou, and Hangzhou, Wycombe Abbey brings the same uncompromising academic standards and close institutional oversight to each of its campuses worldwide.

Opened in August 2026, Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok offers an education pathway from Nursery to Year 13 (ages 2–18), following the British curriculum including IGCSEs and A Levels. In its inaugural year, the school will welcome pupils from Nursery through Year 10, incrementally expanding to Year 13 as the initial cohort progresses.
Both day and boarding places are available, with boarding forming a central pillar of school life — fostering independence, leadership, and a strong sense of community. Dedicated boarding facilities are located just five minutes from the school campus, providing pupils with a warm, structured, and nurturing home environment. Pastoral care is woven into every aspect of boarding life, with carefully selected house staff ensuring each pupil feels safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

The school is led by Founding Executive Headteacher Fiona Angel, whose vision is to develop well-rounded, globally minded pupils equipped for a rapidly evolving world. Teaching staff are recruited from the United Kingdom and leading international schools worldwide, ensuring the highest standards of classroom excellence and pastoral support.

Beyond the classroom, pupils benefit from an exceptionally rich co-curricular programme encompassing a wide range of sports, arts, music, and leadership activities — all underpinned by world-class facilities including an Olympic-standard swimming pool, FIFA-standard football field, full athletics track, and a 1,000-seat stadium.

The school's academic track record speaks for itself: over the past decade, 28% of Wycombe Abbey UK graduates have gained places at Oxford and Cambridge, while 74% of pupils across its international network have been admitted to QS Top 50 universities worldwide.

Located near Thana City on Bangna-Trad Road — just ten minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport — the school occupies a campus of over 66 acres, one of the largest international school sites in Bangkok, and is poised to become the leading destination for British-curriculum education in Southeast Asia.
