Bang Saen Aquarium (Institute of Marine Science)

Along with acting as a centre for research, Bang Saen Aquarium is open to the public and offers a series of fascinating exhibits on marine preservation. Housed within Burapha University at Bang Saen Beach in Chonburi, near Bang Saen Beach, the institute’s impressive aquarium will arguably prove the biggest hit with kids.

Here, visitors can get up close to an array of aquatic life, including a giant tank that contains 1,000 tons of sea water and sea animals. Highlights for children include a jellyfish display, tanks of colorful fish, and a daily diving/fish feeding session at 2:30pm. There is also a museum on the upper floor with info on sea life, with a focus on sea turtles and the local conservation efforts.
