RIS Swiss Section – Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok, established in 1963, is the only international school in Bangkok with a Swiss/German curriculum, which is offered in two profiles with either English or German as the first classroom language. Our proven education model stands out through our distinctive curriculum, leading education quality and a strong focus on personal care in small classes. Your child has the chance to study all grades from Pre-Kindergarten (Nursery) to Grade 12 at our school or to join our afternoon Playgroup “Spielzwerge”.

Small class sizes allow us to place our students in the center of their learning. Individualized teaching and learning methods help them to become life-long learners. Our students are taught by highly qualified and experienced expatriate teachers to become competent citizens in tomorrow’s world society.

Our graduates from both profiles are awarded with internationally recognized diplomas and certificates giving them access to higher education. Matura graduates from our school can enter Swiss universities, generally without further admission requirements such as exams or interviews. The Swiss Matura is recognized as an entrance qualification to universities in most countries. This makes RIS Swiss Section-Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok a prominent gateway to the leading universities around the world.

Our school is officially supported by the Swiss and German governments and their educational authorities. In 2011, we were awarded the certificate of “Exzellente Deutsche Auslandsschule” by the German President.

Since we share the campus with our affiliate Ruamrudee International School (RIS), we are able to combine the advantages of a small school, such as small classes and a family-like atmosphere, with benefits like the variety of facilities and afternoon courses.
