Originally a chicken farm run by the Interior Ministry, Nong Chok Park was created to commemorate His Majesty the King’s 60th Birthday in 1987. This 35-rai stretch (about 0.06 square kilometres) of well-kept land is readily identified by a row of Ficus trees on its southern perimeter. Walkways are partially shaded by a variety of greenery, most notably banyan trees. Sporting facilities include football grounds and a basketball court.
Nong Chok Park is suitable for children. It has a large lotus pond with lots of fish that kids will enjoy feeding. The playground features a climbing wall, wooden climbing frame, and other equipment. Some areas boast rubber flooring, while others have sand covering.
