Meet Ms. Nawal Kalra, author and co-founder of Books and Brushes. Her picture books include “The Very Grumpy Sloth”, “Not the Only Bear”, and “The Dragon Went Hmmmmmmmm”, delightful rhyming stories for different stages in an early reader’s life.
After years as a freelance lifestyle writer for various online and print publications, Ms. Nawal dived into writing children’s books following the arrival of her own two boisterous, story-hungry boys. When not being completely driven up the wall, she likes to take the time to write stories in rhyme that make them, and herself, smile.
She enjoys visiting different schools doing book readings and engaging in fun activities to promote the love of stories, writing, and books amongst young children.
We are excited to host Ms. Nawal as our guest author storyteller on 14-January for a Story Time Special in honor of Children’s Day #NHLstorytime
