Where to Buy Christmas Decorations in Bangkok

Bangkok is becoming a fantastic place to spend the Christmas holidays, with more families choosing to celebrate at home with friends and family. But getting the decorations right is half the fun. Unlike many Western countries, locating decorations is not quite so simple.

But here’s where you can pick up the essential Christmas decorations, including trees, this year!

Local Xmas Markets

There are so many Christmas events, fairs and bazaars on from now until Christmas. At every one you will find a huge range of hand crafted Christmas decorations to fit any theme you are looking to achieve. From bunting to tree decorations, from festoons to garlands, everything is available. Many of the organisations selling Christmas decorations are charities supporting local people and local causes. Three of note include RoyRakSecond Chance and Good Shepherd Sisters (Fatima Shop).

Triumph Tree

A leading providers of artificial trees, wreaths and garlands, this company offers a huge range of designs, styles and sizes. Their popular annual factory clearance sales begin in November and run throughout the holiday season. The factory is located in Samut Prakarn in Soi 1, C1 of  Bang Pu Industrial Estate, on the outskirts of Bangkok, just past the mouth of the Chao Phraya River. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, from 8am to 4.45pm (closed on Sundays and public holidays). Contact Triumph Trees at [email protected] for more info.

The Christmas Shop, Nonthaburi

This shop offers custom made trees and a huge range of Christmas decorations in traditional and contemporary motifs. This is where you’ll find Santas of all shapes and sizes as well as angels, stars, lights, snowmen, reindeers and pretty much anything you associated with Christmas. The products are of export quality at reasonable prices.

Christmas Decoration Export

This is a one-stop shop (and one of Thailand’s oldest manufacturers and exporters) for all things related to Christmas. Here, you will find Christmas trees, ornaments, garlands, wreaths, baubles, lanterns, tinsel and many, many more display items — all guaranteed to bring a sense holiday cheer in your home. There’s an option to shop online or you can visit their facility at 218 Petchkasem Road, Taphra, Bangkok Yai.

Although this is a very generic place to look for something as specific as Christmas decorations, it is a crafters paradise with every form of shiny, glittery, crafty materials available under the sun. If you’re thinking about going down a homemade route, then visit Chinatown’s plethora of exciting stalls for material, inspiration and ideas. The Ikea Christmas shop is now open! Visit the branch in Mega Bangna or Bang Yai for all your Christmas needs, including table decorations, trees, streamers, and so much more! A family favourite is their DIY gingerbread house kits.
