With outstanding staff, amazing facilities and an engaging play-based learning approach, Early Years at Shrewsbury sets the foundations for successful education at school and beyond.
Shrewsbury International School has two campuses: Riverside (Charoenkrung) and City Campus (Rama 9). Riverside offers through-education from 3 to 18 years, whilst children who complete their Primary education at City Campus move on to Senior School at Riverside at the age of 11 years.
Both campuses have specially designed Early Years Departments for our youngest children aged 3 to 5; safe, secure and stimulating environments for children to explore, and where they develop core skills that set the foundation for successful lifelong learning.
Early Years provision is divided between Early Years 1 (for children aged 3 before 31st August) and Early Years 2 (for children aged 4 before 31st August). All of our EY classes are staffed by fully qualified international and local teachers.
The one-of-a-kind environment at Shrewsbury Riverside immediately evokes a sense of delight and freedom that you associate with being young and without a care in the world. Through their play-based curriculum, students’ lead’ their own learning through discovery. This child-led ethos creates a curiosity in students that is carried through their education as they advance through each year level. Many students at Shrewsbury began their schooling in Early Years, and it must be said that their outstanding exam and university success is founded on their experiences and outstanding provision offered within the Early Years and Junior School.
Students learn from the English National Curriculum – adapted and developed to meet the needs of their talented, multi-lingual, international student body. Gradually the play-based learning model leads to more complex subject matter taught through a range of topics designed to engage students on every level. Shrewsbury, Riverside is dedicated to the integration of digital technology across the curriculum to ensure they are at the forefront of cutting-edge educational experiences.
