5 Top Bangkok Hotels for Sunday Family Brunch

If you’re searching for a family-friendly Sunday brunch venue in Bangkok, there’s certainly no shortage of choices. But here are 5 venues that make it to the top of our highly recommended list.

The Square Restaurant, Novotel Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit

Situated next to Ploenchit BTS Skytrain, this is one of the biggest Sunday brunch spreads in Bangkok. There’s a huge variety of Asian and international cuisines, a chilled seafood section, freshly baked pizzas, pasta and live cooking stations. Kids will undoubtedly be tempted by the dessert section, with delicious homemade ice creams, cakes, fresh fruits and a made-to-order crepe station. Meanwhile, the hotel’s “Kids SQUARE” features a playroom with a range of activities to keep little ones entertained. Children aged 6 and under also get to eat for free.

Next 2, Shangri-La Hotel

Over 200 international and Asian dishes make up the extravagant feast that is Sunday brunch at Next 2, Shangri-La Hotel. But it’s certainly not a case of quantity over quality. Wagyu beef, Foie Gras and Maine lobster are just some of the premium dishes available to try. Younger ones are also well catered to thanks to a special children’s dining menu. In terms of family-friendly entertainment, “Eckie” the clown performs various tricks and games with the kids alongside balloon art and face painting sessions.

Feast, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel

Aside from the floor-to-ceiling views of the Chao Phraya River, the highlight of Sunday brunch at Royal Orchid Sheraton has to be the magnificent spread of seafood, which include Alaskan king crab, sushi and no less than three types of oyster. The extravagant dessert section is also worthy of a special mention, with treats ranging from tiramisu and black forest gateau to chocolate lava and a vast assortment of ice cream. The dedicated children’s area is also great for keeping little ones occupied – as well as an entertaining magician, it screens a variety of popular Disney movies.

Brasserie Europa, Siam Kempinski Hotel

Every Sunday, Siam Kempinski Hotel hosts its “Sunday Longest Lunch” – served at its all-day-dining restaurant, Brasserie Europa. The sprawling Asian and European banquet includes made-to-order dishes such as Australian beef tenderloin and French duck ragout. There’s also an all-you-can-eat food station that has fresh seafood, cold cuts and imported cheeses. But the kids will likely want to make straight for the “dessert room”, where chocolate fountains and homemade sweets lie in wait. Meanwhile, Kempinski Kids Club provides supervised entertainment for 4 to12 year olds.

Seasonal Tastes, The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel

Sunday brunch becomes a distinctly classy affair at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel. Enjoy being serenaded by live jazz as you tuck into a feast of gourmet delights, from pan-fried duck breast with rum raisin sauce to braised beef cheeks and lamb osso buco. There’s also a freshly-shucked oyster bar, dedicated lobster bisque station, and a whole host of Asian dishes. Despite the high-end offering, Westin Kids Club creates a family-friendly vibe with its joke-cracking clown, magic show and painting activities.
