For Children’s Day weekend, 14 and 15 January 2017, Farm de Lek in Nakhon Nayok province (about an hour drive from Bangkok) offers a fun programme, including outdoor activities and games. Come play, learn and enjoy family time on the farm amidst natural surroundings!
A number of educational activities are offered, such as making arts and crafts from recycled materials, and learning about growing organic rice and Thai herbs, and freshwater fish rearing. There will also be a horse parade to mark the launch of the farm’s new stable facilities.
In addition, kids can have fun exploring the grounds, feeding pigs, goats and bunnies, collecting chicken eggs, swimming in the pond (lifeguards will be around to ensure safety), paddling a canoe, biking, riding ponies, and playing in the playground. Other stations include face painting, games, a photo booth, and balloon twisting. Participants can also enjoy food, drinks, live music, a horse riding demo, a K9 rescue dog show, and a magic show.
For parents, The Rainbow Room and other experts are facilitating a parenting dialogue, covering various topics like how to parent children with special needs and how to foster positive parenting, as well as providing tips on education and learning. Parents are welcome to ask questions.
Moreover, on 14 January, the neighbouring BAC flight school will conduct airfield tours. Visitors can view the aircraft and flight simulator classroom, with instructors and students on hand to lead the tours from 10.30am to 11.30am and 2pm to 5pm.
The cost of this event is 50 baht per child aged 3 to 14 years, and 100 baht per adult. Some activities have an additional cost. Visitor numbers are limited; advance registration is required.
