8 New Places to Check Out During the School Break

Bangkok planetarium

Eight relatively new places in Bangkok to visit with kids during the February half-term break or Thai school summer holidays!

1. Pororo Aqua Park

Spanning over 10,000 square metres, this “Pororo the Little Penguin” themed water park features exciting attractions for kids, including sliders, a tubular waterslide, a fast corkscrew body-slide and a twisty slider ride. There’s also a large pool for swimming, a lazy river, and pools and play equipment for toddlers.

2. Ticket to Mystery

For children ages 7 and up, role play as a group of sleuths, travelling in time back to 19th century England to solve the case of Jack the Ripper or to a post-apocalyptic 21st century to save it from further doom. In crafted mystery rooms, follow a trail of clues to solve the mystery in 55 minutes – or else!

3. Bangkok Batting Center

With batting cages and automatic ball pitchers, this is a great place for older kids and teens to practice their baseball swing, while getting in a good workout. Check out the various promotions during non-peak business hours on both weekdays and weekends.

4. Bounce Thailand

An Australian franchise, Bangkok’s latest trampoline park offers a huge trampoline arena with 105 trampolines (and the challenge of running up the walls), the innovative Clip ‘N Climb Zone, with 24 adventurous stages including climbing walls, and other thrilling activities – great for a day of active fun!

5. KidzVenture Park

This relatively large indoor playspace, ideal for kids ages 3 and up, includes a small strider bike track, electric car track, and interactive light/musical mini golf course. There’s also a basketball area and standard climbing frames with obstacles and ropes. A highlight is the tube slide, where children zip down a slide on an inner tube!

6. LAZGAM Laser Games

Suitable for kids ages 7 and up, this large indoor laser tag arena is a futuristic labyrinth where players can engage in games of up to 32 players in scenarios such as VIP protection, shot-infecting Alien invasions, and other exciting game modes! Outside the arena, players can watch the games on screens and relax with friends.

7. Bangkok Planetarium

The semi-dome planetarium, which first opened in 1964, has just undergone a 92 million baht refurbishment. The upgrade includes new digital projectors, a custom-built fish-eye lens, high-definition 360-degree visuals and surround sound. English-language shows are held every Tuesday at 10am.

8. Ski 365

Learn skiing and snowboarding on “endless” revolving slopes with simulated snow. There are three training slopes with adjustable speeds and gradients, as well as a small kiddie slope for kids as young as three. For non-skiers, the facility also includes a climbing wall, gymnastics air floor, spin bikes and more.
